Hi, there! here’s why we started our business
Honey Bear began with a nickname. After getting married in 2015, we always called each other, “Honey Bear,” and some of our favorite memories were made in cozy coffee shops—taste testing lattes and dreaming together. Ten years later, those little dates turned into making our own espresso at home. Shortly after, we began roasting our own coffee and creating something we could share with you. We’re so glad you stopped by to this little corner of the internet. We hope every cup feels warm & inviting.

We Roast in small batches to ensure freshness, depth of flavor, and quality over quantity.
Over time, we have realized many large-scale brands roast in bulk, which means beans sit longer than they should. By the time they reach the customer, beans are close (if not yet) past their prime. Within a few weeks, coffee can lose its vibrancy, develop an oily surface, and taste flat or burnt—even if it looks dark and bold. Every batch is made to order, so by the time you receive it in the mail the coffee will be perfect for brewing!
Why Do We Roast
We search for high quality beans where farmers pride themselves in cultivating robust, flavorful, beans.
Many of these farms are family-run businesses, where coffee isn’t just a product—it’s their livelihood. Supporting them means every cup carries purpose beyond the mug.
